Recorded Voice Messages: The InTouch automated calling system is used by the county to keep parents informed about Palmer Middle School via telephone messages.

Palmer PTSA sends written copies of Voice messages via the PTSA Email Update system each time school administration provides us with the information.

WHY SUPPORT IT?

The money the PTSA receives from fundraising and membership goes to fund just some of the following programs, activities and educational items for your student:

·        Agenda and Handbook/Calendars for every student

·        Honor Roll Receptions for students and parents

·        New Books, AR Tests and other equipment for the Media Center

·        Calculators

·        Over $4,000 spent on Math educations supplies.

·        Over $5,500 spent on hands-on science equipment to be used by all grades.  Includes: Outdoor Weather Station, Moon Globes, Seafloor Simulator Kit, Stereoscopes, Geological models, Millipede kits, etc…

·        Classroom Set of College Dictionaries, as well as one dictionary for individual Language Arts classes

·        8th Grade Literacy Journey Books – Supplies need to publish

·        Staff  and Student Talent shows

·        Reading Program (thru the Media Center) incentives

·        Parent Lunch and Learns

·        School Support Gift Certificates for all faculty working with students to allow them to purchase needed items to enhance the curriculum

·        Multi Media Cart for classroom use by staff

·        Items used by P.E. dept. and Intramurals to increase Physical Activity

·        Smokey Sue Model for Health Class Demonstrations

·        Staff Thank You Luncheons and gifts

·        Rewards programs and Ice Cream Socials

·        PTSA Website, e-news and newsletters

·        Refreshments for rising 6th grade Parent Night and Special Ed. Night

·        Reflections Program and Student/Parent Breakfast Reception

·        Eight Grade Celebration and Luncheon

·        Fall Dances for 6th,7th and 8th graders (Admittance free with Palmer PTSA membership)

·        Academic Bowl fact books, Cast/Parent Reception for Drama Club

·        Additional support for the Angel Tree families and Beta Club
