EOG Boot Camps

(No boot camps during Spring Break!)
8:00 am – 8:45 am
Open To ALL students. No sign-up necessary. All subjects are covered.
Intramurals are only on Fridays during EOG Boot Camp.
All morning clubs are canceled!
EOG Testing starts April 19th through April 25th

Please help us to maximize your students learning experience by minimizing classroom interruptions. We ask that if your child needs to leave school early, please SEND a note with him/her to school. Your child should take the note to the Attendance Office where he/she will be given an early dismissal pass. That way, your child will be waiting for you in the Attendance Office when you arrive. Your help with student check-out will be greatly appreciated! Due to verification we cannot accept dismissals over the phone.

Career Day

May 23rd
Inspire and encourage our students to explore career possibilities for their future at our 3rd Annual Career Day on Tuesday, Mar 23, from 9:25 am – 1:30 pm. We need approximately 20 enthusiastic speakers to share their expertise in their specific occupation with our students. Go to the Palmer website for letter and registration form.

8th Grade Activities

Please send in your 8th grade activity dues as soon possible. $10.00 for the carnival and $7.00 for the 8th Grade dance. We need these funds to make the 8th grade activities a huge success. Please see the link below for the permission slip for the carnival and dance.

Pictures needed for the Annual 8th Grade Slide Show!
Please email a baby picture (birth – 5 years old) and a current picture of your 8th grader to by Friday, March 31, 2017.
In your email please include your student’s first and last name, homeroom teacher and what high school they will be attending. These pictures will be used for the slide show presented during the end of year events.

If you cannot email a copy, please send in the actual photo (write name and homeroom teacher on the back) to your child’s homeroom teacher by March 31st.

Duty Free Lunch

We give our teachers a real lunch break once a month by strolling the cafeteria to help monitor students (administration will be present, so you just need to keep an eye on things).

Make sure you’re prepared for class with school supplies. We have all those specialty spiral notebooks (8.5″ x 11″), AVID notebooks, 3-ring binders, and more.

Kell Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleading

All rising 9th graders should come over to Kell as soon as their school day is over. Contact Coach Burrus, Coach Adams or Coach Patterson at Kell with any questions. Anyone interested in trying out must provide a current physical on the first day of tryouts in order to be allowed to participate.

Northeast Cobb Community

Egg Drop
April 15, 2017
10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sprayberry High School football field/stadium area
Parking and Admission – FREE
Plan to join us for the 8th Annual Northeast Cobb Community Egg Drop. There will be fun, food, games, DJ, activities, and of course egg hunts for everyone. Kids will marvel as a helicopter drops thousands of eggs onto the Sprayberry High School football field to kick-off the hunt. There will be more than 90,000 eggs and candy for the various hunts. The funds raised from the Egg Drop go to support both the Shop with a Yellow Jackets and the Shop with a Longhorn programs for Sprayberry and Kell High Schools. Last year more than $13,000 went right back in to the community from the event.

Youth Writing Academy Creative Writing Camp
June 19 – 23, 2017
9:00 am – 1:00 pm

This camp, grouped by middle school and high school, will explore the craft of writing while in a supportive environment. Each day will include a combination of activities from discussion with a local author to a trip around campus for inspiration.
