Tickets will only be sold on the mornings of 10-26 thru 10-31 and 11-1 thru 11-6.
No Tickets sold the day of dances.

2017 PTSA Reflections Winners

Congratulations to the following students who won 1st, 2nd or 3rd place at the Tom Mathis Council level of judging for reflections. The 1st and 2nd place winners will progress to the state level for judging.
The ceremony for these students will be November 9th.

Palmer Fall Tutoring Starts November 6th

Fall Book Fair

November 13-17, 2017
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming! Find wonderful books, as well as an expanded selection of non-book merchandise, perfect for holiday shopping.
Book Fair Hours
Monday 11/13 – 8:30am-4:15pm
Tuesday 11/14 – 8:00am-5:00pm (extended early and late hours)
Wednesday 11/15 – 8:30am-4:15pm
Thursday 11/16 – 8:00am-4:15pm (extended early hours)
Friday 11/17 – 8:30am-1:00pm

Our book fair would not be a success without wonderful volunteers to help students shop and make purchases!

Annual Holiday Food Drive Has Begun!!

Thank you so much for continuing to support our annual Food Drive- currently we have 35 families in need- and we could not do this without you!! Don’t forget that we are continuing to collect cans/food items until Friday, November 10th!! The winning homerooms will be receiving a special reward.
Here is a list of items that we need:
Peanut Butter
Cranberry Sauce
Potatoes – Box or Bag
Gravy – Jar or Packets
Cornbread Mix

We DO NOT NEED these items:
Green Beans

Collection boxes will be in the homerooms through November 10, 2017.


Be there!

Being in school all day, every day, helps your child get the most out of middle school.
Encourage good attendance with these ideas:
Point out that there is no substitute for being in class. Your youngster needs to be present to hear teachers explain concepts, to participate in group projects and class discussions, and to ask questions.
Schedule doctor, dentist, and orthodontist appointments for before or after school hours whenever possible. If you can’t, try to arrange them for lunchtime.
It will be easier for your child to get up on time for school if he has at least nine hours of sleep. Set a reasonable bedtime, and make sure he puts away electronic devices so he isn’t tempted to stay awake to read messages or play games.

November Intramurals – Basketball & Soccer

Intramurals meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (Student Choice Day). School doors open at approximately 8:00 and will close at 8:10. Students will need to bring a change of clothes (PE clothes) to participate. Friday, December 1st is Bring a Parent to Intramurals Day.

Early Dismissals

Please help us to maximize your students learning experience by minimizing classroom interruptions. We ask that if your child needs to leave school early, please SEND a note with him/her to school. Your child should take the note to the Attendance Office where he/she will be given an early dismissal pass. That way, your child will be waiting for you in the Attendance Office when you arrive. Your help with student check-out will be greatly appreciated! Due to verification we cannot accept dismissals over the phone.

Parents, please remember that you need to stop by the front office to sign in as a visitor anytime that you are in the building. This applies to the mornings before the 8:50 homeroom bell as well as after school.
This is for the safety of all the students and staff in the building.

To reserve your book, simply go to OR call 1-866-287-3096 and use order number 2401. There is a No Additional Fee to order through the Order Center. You can also order your yearbook at Palmer MS; please make your check payable to Palmer Middle School.
